Who we are
Often Drive is operated by OFTEN DRIVE EURL, a French company registered with the RCS Chambéry under SIREN 931 110 837. Our registered office is at 197 Route du Bauchez Dessous, 73220 Saint-Georges-d'Hurtières, France. We are responsible for the personal data described here. Contact: bookings@oftendrive.com.
What we collect
- Bookings: your journey details, chosen vehicle, and the lead passenger's name, email address, phone number, flight number and any notes you add. For paid bookings we also keep the payment reference and amount — never your card details.
- Giveaway: your name, email address and the date you entered.
- Offers by email: whether you agreed to receive them, and when.
- Website visits: anonymous visit statistics — see our Cookie Policy.
Why we use it, and on what legal basis
- To organise, confirm and carry out your transfer, and to take payment — necessary to perform our contract with you.
- To keep payment and accounting records — required by law.
- To run the giveaway — under the Giveaway Rules you accept when entering.
- To send you occasional offers — only with your consent, which you confirm by email and can withdraw at any time.
- To understand how our website is used and keep it secure — our legitimate interest, using privacy-friendly statistics with no advertising tracking.
Who else handles your data
We never sell your data. We share it only with the services we need to run Often Drive:
- Stripe — processes card payments. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never reach us.
- Resend — sends our booking confirmation emails.
- Google (Google Workspace) — our business email (bookings@oftendrive.com and info@oftendrive.com), where booking notifications arrive.
- Lovable — hosts our website and booking database.
- WhatsApp (Meta) — only if you choose to contact us on WhatsApp.
Our drivers receive only the details they need to carry out your transfer.
Transfers outside the EU
Some of these providers are based in, or may process data in, the United States. Where personal data leaves the European Union, it is protected by the safeguards GDPR requires, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep it
- Booking details: 5 years after your transfer — the period during which legal claims can be made — then deleted.
- Payment and accounting records: 10 years, as French accounting law requires.
- Giveaway entries: deleted no later than 3 months after the draw, unless you also agreed to receive our emails, or you won.
- Offers by email: until you unsubscribe, or 3 years after your last contact with us.
How we protect it
Your data is stored in a private database that cannot be read from a web browser. Only authorised Often Drive staff and our server can access it, and every connection to our website is encrypted. To protect our booking and sign-up forms from abuse, we keep a scrambled code derived from your IP address — never the address itself — for no more than 24 hours.
Your rights
Under GDPR you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to receive a copy of it. You can withdraw your consent to offers by email at any time. Email bookings@oftendrive.com and we will reply within one month. You can also complain to the CNIL, the French data protection authority, or to the authority in your own country.
